Summary
Not many took the time to think of the reasons why eleven-year-olds would be resourceful, cunning, ambitious, determined, clever, have a huge want for self-preservation, or want fraternity more than most. The Sorting Hat did though and knew from experience that most children did not come by those skills naturally. This year was once again one of those years where they wished they could do something about it, but sorting Cassiopeia Potter into the House of Snakes was the biggest help he could give her.

Summary
Harry Potter is more cunning and aware of who he is as well as what he means to British Magical Society thanks to his Aunt Petunia who vowed revenge against all those who conspired indirectly or otherwise to take her baby sister away from her which ultimately led to Lily's death. Petunia raises Harry to be clever and careful about his interactions in the magical world. On a whim during shopping for his school supplies, Harry discovers that the sweetshop has a Chocolate Frog Card with his name and picture on it! He shows it to his aunt with the idea that if they could figure out a way to link all of the other cards with his likeness together, they would have an incredible spy network to eavesdrop on the magical population.

She didn't know that this would ultimately lead her on a quest to raise her nephew and defeat an evil megalomaniac calling himself Voldemort.
But, well, here she is. She will do whatever it takes to keep her nephew safe.

Based on this prompt from Harmony & Co's Prompt Bank:
Pre-Hogwarts. Harry is 6, Hermione is almost 7. They grew up close neighbors and in a fit of childish pique, decide to get “married.” The wedding is attended by their favorite plushies and by a couple of friends. One of the Potter elves officiates. The parents think it’s the cutest thing in the world, even magic is giggling.
Cut forward to when they get their Letters to Hogwarts and find out that magic wasn’t giggling from childish amusement but from the long term prank it just pulled on the wizarding world.

Summary
Once upon a time the Fae walked the lands of Middle Earth.
Once upon a time a hobbit took a fairy wife, founding an entire bloodline of hobbits carrying traces of fairy blood in their veins.Every so often this blood acts up, resulting in a hobbit being born who's just a little bit...different.
Such was the case with the birth of Bilba Baggins, daughter of Bungo and Belladonna Baggins. She's a little more wild than most, a little more adventurous, and a lot more prone to rescuing long lost dwarven princes from the clutches of vile Necromancers, befriending wargs and aiding in the reclamation of kingdoms from megalomaniac dragons.
Frerin, son of Thrain, son of Thror is perfectly fine with this. Well, maybe not the befriending wargs part...
