Cifera rolled her eyes, shoving Aglaea back enough to toe at her bodice. “Just get naked already. I don’t want to be the only one this… exposed.”
She said the last word quietly, eyes falling to the side, atypical shyness peaking through all those layers of snark and cunning. Aglaea blinked, so knowing of that raw vulnerability. To strip oneself down for the omniscient eyes of another, and bleed your spirit dry.
Only, Cifera’s eyes were much kinder, if a bit piercing. And who better to bare her withering soul to?
Aglaea stood amidst the thought, spinning around. She glanced partway over her shoulder, expectant, voice tuneful. “Why not help me with these fastenings, then.”
Or, Aglaea knows the cost of the chase, yet she cannot leave. But she can give Cifera this, herself, if only to soothe her.

Summary
Professor McGonagall had been propositioned before Hogwarts had let out for the year, by quite possibly the last person she would have expected. She had not believed the girl at first, but the way the girl had nervously walked into her office, looking around each corner as she did. The way her eyes shone as McGonagall had touched her hand to calm her, Minerva found herself trusting the girl. She was risking everything coming to her and the Professor hoped she would make it through this war.
Or Pansy realizes everything she knew was a lie and offers to be a double agent. On the condition no one but Professor McGonagall knows. This leaves the brightest witch of their age losing her mind trying to piece together who her sudden guardian angel is.

Bright red eyes suddenly stare at her, a limp un-lit cigarette hanging from the corner of the woman’s mouth, lips slightly separated. Their eyes lock with one another, neither of them moving. Maya can feel the strain of her weight on her arms, stones digging into her palms and her left knee, but she dares not to move in case it further alarms the woman in front of her. She wants to focus on the situation at hand, being a professional and all, but she also can’t help the cacophonous thudding of her heart in her ears as she stares at this woman so real, so present in front of her.
She can hear the tinny sound of a voice coming through the phone calling out, as if all other noise have been muted from around them.
Finally, “Maman, I’ll call you back. There seems to be a wild animal in the backyard.”
