    Bookmarker's Notes

This fanfiction has made me love this ship even more than I did before, I am infatuated with the characterization of the two main characters, the author captures their in-show dynamic so well, striking a nice balance between sweet endearing tenderness, and playful sarcastic commentary.

My favorite part of this fanfiction is Mappy himself, who is written so... perfectly: Awkward attitude, throws out tease comments now and then, and yet despite this, he clearly enjoys his boss's romantic actions and intimate company, Mappy acts just as he does in the show; I think part of what reflects what I'm talking about is right there in the first chapter, where after kissing Goro, his first thought is “You're so fired.” It's a wonderful understanding of the character.

If you like the ship and "fluff" content, I recommend reading it, totally worth it.

    Bookmarker's Notes

I'm not personally the type of person who enjoys reading crossover-themed fanfiction, but this work was an eye-opener to me, and even though I wasn't familiar with some of the franchises introduced in the work, it was still an enjoyable read. In a way, this work made me realize the appeal of personal writing, the writing that isn't conventional from the rest, and it took me a few months to understand why I fell deeply in love with it, why it is unique from other things of its genre, and the reason is that it's more than just a fanfic, it made me feel like I was reading an original story that used pre-existing characters as hosts for original ideas, and that all of the references and decisions made were clearly contextual and representative of the creator's own knowledge. Some of the references are also quite obscure, all related to the main series (Mappy), its fanbase, and the 2013 cartoon's creators, which makes the reading experience more exciting.

This note may or may not be biased, but who cares? This novel is great and can be enjoyed even if you're only familiar with Mappy or any of the other series. Please read it, Anon's work deserves more appreciation.
