Until the spark of the revolution warmed her up again.
Arthur Pendragon didn't plan on becoming a symbol of hope and freedom, but it was fate. He also didn't plan on meeting Sansa. But he did.
He can't risk the revolution for her.
But sometimes he wishes he could.

In King's Landing, Otto and Alicent Hightower and the small council formulate a brilliant plan after crowning Aegon as King of the Seven Kingdoms: they will gain the support of the Baratheons or the Starks in the upcoming war against Rhanerya by offering the second Prince, Aemond Targaryen, to wed. The Baratheons are closer to King's Landing, but the northerners are said to have strong, loyal men.

Or, in this version, the Hightowers send Aemond to Winterfell instead of Storm's End. "The North remembers" was a phrase often spoken to from one Northerner to another. Sansa Stark's memory was as good as theirs and made good to her vow. The North gained its freedom.
A year has passed since that fateful day, and Sansa Stark is now Queen of the North, and in that year, she has done her best to rule as any effective ruler should, with open eyes and heart. However, the time has come for Sansa to marry, to find a husband to provide her with an heir to the throne. Naturally, her people prefer a Northern man while others on her council advise her to look at others from the other six kingdoms as well.
Sansa, however, finds herself in agreement with her people. She prefers a Northern man as well, one that has found himself among the Wildlings.

“Things don’t stay bad forever, but they don’t stay good forever either,” Sansa responded back, turning her head to catch Arya’s eyes.
“It’s all about balance.” Sansa nodded her agreement closing her eyes.
Balance; such a precarious thing that was so hard to achieve in life, it was a constant act of trying to walk the thin line between two extremes. Sansa knew she wasn’t very good at it, more times than not she had leaned far too close to one extreme rather than traveling the middle ground between. Was there any way to truly walk that middle ground completely balanced? Was it an act that you had to achieve on your own, or was it something that was only achievable with the right person?
Sansa figured she would learn that lesson when the time came.
