They know why this is happening; Sky people, dream walkers, pink-skins. They know what happens when they fight back, so the Olo'eyktan and Tsahik, Tonowari and Ronal, come up with a plan. The plan is to send one of their finest warriors to the Omatikaya to consult Toruk Makto and ask for help. Not to beg, not to plead. Well, kind of. They ask him to find the dreamwalkers' motives and help their clan without the violence that causes the sky folk to fight back.
They send Tan'vi. He is a brother, a soon-to-be uncle, and a son. He knows what will happen if he doesn't make it back. He will do what he can to deliver the message and ensure the safety of his clan.[This fic takes place like directly a few years or so after the first movie. Like a bit before the start of the second. I cried reading this at 1am, then went to sleep, then woke up in the morning and bookmarked this at work because i didn't want to forget. I want to keep this fic in my brain, i don't want to forget it. This hurts like a brick in the face and stubbing your toe to the corner at the same tine, but it's totally worth it if you're into people loving and taking care of each other, into raw emotions, into people not giving up even if life just keeps throwing shit to their faces because they love life, they love their family and friends, because life is worth living. It hurts so much but it's beautiful and it's so worth it. Can't recommend enough.

"I have something to tell you," Chung Myung announced, making the children stop their fighting to pay attention to him.
For some reason, several faces darkened. Hye Yeon prayed quietly, setting the vial of alcohol aside.
Under intense scrutiny, Chung Myung stood his ground. “It's something I've been hiding ever since I came to Mount Hua. I've been planning to say it for a long time..."
Tang Soso clenched his fists in his lap. "How long?"
"Eh?"
"Chung Myung-sahyung, how much time do you have left?"
"N-no, it's not something like that," he stammered.
Looking at the faces of Baek Cheon and Yu Iseol, he realized that they too had a similar misunderstanding.
"I'm fine, very healthy."
Several relieved sighs were heard around.
Baek Cheon complained. "If there's no imminent death involved, don't look so serious. We thought you were about to die or something similar."
Yoon Jong nodded. “Chung Myung-ah, we just went through a war. Don't look like you're about to announce a new heavenly demon."
Chung Myung didn't know what to feel about these paranoid young disciples. It was probably his fault that they only knew to expect bad news, but since they had a problem with these matters, he decided to end the talk as quickly as he could.
“A hundred years ago, I fought against the heavenly demon. I died after cutting off his head, and woke up in the body of a young beggar named Cho Sam,” he summarized. "In my past life, i was known as the Plum Blossom Sword Saint, thirteenth generation disciple, Chung Myung."
As he spoke, he carefully watched the faces of his Sahyungs who didn't seem to react to the news. They were probably in shock, he guessed.
Baek Cheon quickly betrayed his expectations. “Oh, that. We already knew it."
"Hey? N-no, it can't be... You know what?"
Jo Gul smiled, as if his worries had disappeared. “I think it was pretty obvious, we've known that for a long time. Was it supposed to be a secret?"
Yoon Jong sighed. “Have a little tact, Gul-ah."
Saying that, he didn't deny his words.
"Did you know... that I had reincarnated and i was the Plum Blossom Sword Saint?"
How could this be possible? Chung Myung had set out to be the most discreet person in the world, and there was no one better than him at keeping secrets. He even created appropriate alibis so that knowledge of him would not be seen as strange. So at what point might they realize?
Yu Iseol tilted her head. "Before isolated training."
Wasn't that years ago?
Baek Sang tried to be understanding. "Don't worry about it, Chung Myung-ah. Our elders know it too, no one will judge you for it."
“Even the elders?"
Hye Yeon drank from his bottle again at some point. “I found out a few months after I arrived."
"Even the bald monk... Is there anyone here who doesn't already know?"
Tang Soso shook his head slowly. “My dad has known this for a long time, and several elders in the Tang clan have become suspicious."
“Not to mention the Palace of Beasts,” Yoon Jong added. "I had to ask them to be discreet when they came up to ask.'
"That's why they started behaving so strangely with me!"
Baek Cheon shook his head. “I'm afraid even the Eunha Guild knows about it."
Chung Myung stood up with a red face. "Someone else!?"
The disciples were silent, not daring to meet his eyes.
"...Say it now, before I use force."
Tang Soso and Yoon Jong hit Jo Gul's sides at the same time. Hearing the moan escape Jo Gul's lips, Chung Myung's attention turned to him almost immediately.
"Something to say, Sahyung?"
“W-well, maybe the Northern Ice Palace, the bandit king, the Shaolin Sect Leader, my parents…”
Baek Cheon muttered under his breath, “My brother, Lee SongBaek…"
"Enough, it's enough! I don't want to hear anything anymore,” Chung Myung yelled, embarrassed. "So did everyone know? Everyone I've talked to..."
Jo Gul nodded. "You're not exactly subtle..."
Chung Myung's icy gaze silenced him. "There's not a single person who didn't know..."
“I'm pretty sure all the members of the Demon Cult knew about it by the end of the war."
"And no one told me?" He murmured. "How come I didn't find out?"
"It's okay, Chung Myung-ah," Yoon Jong tried to comfort him. "We all have our strengths and weaknesses. Not everyone has to be good at acting..."
"Everyone knew... Everyone..."
