Summary
Rey is ready to kick ass this year. Her grades are up, she's living with her best friends, and she loves her new job at Tico flowers. But when Rey keeps finding bone sigils and dead animals, she decides to enlist the help of nerdy jerk, Ben Solo. Ben is the loner type preferring to spend most of his time reading up on Demonology on the fourth floor of Chandrila University.
It doesn't take Rey long to warm up to Ben, especially when he insists on buying her food. So what if he stole her apple that one time?
However, a chance encounter with Ben's father leads Rey spinning with questions, and when she finally confronts Ben, she doesn't expect him to confess to being a grim reaper.

It's Valentines day but the only ones going out on a hot date seem to be the two cats. Vader and Niima are doing great their owners not so much. Ben Solo is now unemployed and bored out of his mind at his apartment meanwhile Rey's friends can't stop pestering her to just date Ben already. But Rey isn't so convinced that Ben feels the same way.

“…so, no, Ben Solo, unless you want to marry me, there’s nothing—NOTHING—you can do to help my situation!” Rey screamed from the top of her lungs.
She turned roughly away when she felt a stray tear roll down her cheek. God damn it. It was so mortifying. Of all the people in San Francisco she could break down in front of, it had to be Ben-fucking-Solo. She took a few steps backwards, intending to spin around and run away before she could embarrass herself any further, but a large hand wrapped around her wrist before she could.
“Wait.” He didn’t say any more for a second. He only looked at her, his eyebrows drawing minutely together, as if he was puzzling through a stubborn bug, an impossible problem.
Then, just as Rey was about to shake his hand loose, she heard him ask, “Do you want to?”
UK borne Rey Unkar thought she finally found a home in Silicon Valley: she has close friends that love her, a great career at Resistance Labs, a vacation to Puerto Rico in the plans, and even an online friend who she can nerd out with on all things C++. Then, her H-1B extension gets denied and she has 10 days before she is required to leave the U.S.

She moves into the apartment beside his, with her flowers and her singing and her brisk optimism, and Ben Solo knows himself just well enough to realize that a person like him really shouldn't have anything to do with a person like her. His good friend Snoke, of course, has other plans, because he gets a certain enjoyment from watching Ben - Kylo Ren, rather, as he calls him - screw things up. Which Ben inevitably does: but that's not where he wants them to end, and maybe Rey doesn't either.

Summary
Fate had not been the kindest to Rey growing up. So she had decided to write her own story. Sometimes she decided to be a little reckless, just for fun. So on her birthday she got a tattoo. It was supposed to be one simple sunflower tattoo. That was all. There were never supposed to be any major consequences of that decision. But, as it turns out, fate may just be a little bit kinder to her than she thought.
Soulmate/Tattoo AU where once a permanent change is made to the skin, that same marking appears on your soulmate as well.
