Joe Liebgott, a 17 year old boy with his eyes up at the sky and his feet set firmly on the ground, is tasked with leading his fellow newsies in a strike after the price of newspapers is unfairly raised. As the plot of the strike unfolds, David Webster, a boy with his nose stuck in his books and a troubling secret, gets wrapped up in it and becomes more of a problem than Joe ever anticipated.

Dylan J Monroe, a young rifleman for Able Company, despises the 506th Second Battalion's Easy Company. However, after crash landing in a tree during the jump into Normandy, he finds himself attached to said unit and is forced to stay with them until he finds his own company. In the process he questions his hatred of Easy and why he even joined the paratroopers in the first place, while also coming to terms with his longing for connection and his relationship with his estranged aunt and Easy Company's medic, Second Lieutenant Lydia Sterling.

Summary
Love and War were not supposed to work together, or at least thats what the world seemed to tell them. As they fight through the Trojan War and other obstacles in their path they experience how it feels to love as mortals do. They love as though they do not have enough time, hiding away in the dark of night from the gods that would disapprove and shame them.
This 60 chapter series is set into three acts, with the first consistenting of the Trojan War, and the other two following the events that happen afterward. This series is an Ares x Aphrodite, dual-pov, slowburn romance.
