However, the brain can only hold so much before it begins to eat itself slowly. So, he lists, catalogues, recalling only what is needed in the moment— and when the thoughts come, dark, twisted, and looming overhead— he moves. Never staying in one place for too long, they can't catch him if he does.
So Parrot moves, remembers, gets caught in some fictitious questline that borders on providence, and moves again. He lists, learns a few names that get added to a roster of contacts on his communicator. Gains enemies, too many at times. Then lists again. He gains a status, a quote of infamy.
Nothing ever stays too long, not with him.

“Then I’ll buy you a drink and you’ll tell me all about it.”
Morpheus turned the apple in his hand, looking at his muddled reflection in its satin-smooth skin. “That is, if I choose to continue living? Despite the miserableness that all life may entail?”
The stranger’s smile fell into something quieter; something unfathomable. He was built like a labourer, skin the colour of olive as evidence of sun-worked hours, but there was a certain grace that came in the way he held himself, easy as a torrenting river. If he moved fast enough, Morpheus would’ve been able to catch the ripples of something otherworldly, oneiric, even, in the split seconds where his mortality flayed open.
He was never any one ordinary. And maybe Morpheus should’ve known better just from the way he smiled.
(alternatively; Morpheus lives, albeit a little unwillingly, and finds reason along the bare-stricken path of life in the form of a somewhat-divine being who finds great joy in taverns and chimneys.)

“It was foolish…to love something so fleeting. People leave so easily.” He murmurs, both of them thinking of the same person. “But— it’s nice. Being loved.”
Omori wishes he could agree.

With practiced ease Artemy cuts the ventricles free and lifts the heart from its cage. Still warm, he holds the prize out and for a moment he can pretend the pounding in his chest is coming from the organ he gingerly handles.
Slowly, Dankovsky reaches out to take it, eyes confused, evidently feeling the tension in the air. When the heart is held safely in his hands, Artemy squeezes his own eyes shut and for one moment lets himself wish.
He lurches forward and stands back up. Then he addresses the worms behind them: “Tell everyone it is done.”

“Afternoon. You look—” Artemy began, and broke off.
“Yes? What ghoulish thing do I resemble today?” Daniil blew out some smoke, staring pensively ahead. “A striga, perhaps.”
“—better,” Artemy finished. “Less like you’d gone already, and are only haunting me.”
That shut Daniil’s mouth.

And so it begins.
He spends days cooped up in his study, emerging feverish, near-manic and pacing. Though they’d taken to sharing a bed for long months now, at nights, he is now a rarer and rarer guest in it.
Sleepless, he says offhandedly. But he barely touches Artemy, and Artemy hardly dares touch him, for fear—which he hardly voices to himself, at first—of being pushed away.
Or: Artemy thinks Daniil is leaving; and tries to make peace with it.

Summary
Finally, the day has come. The day where the unstable smp votes for the new king. Though Parrot is aware of the unfairness of the voting system he still tries.
One thing leads to another and someone from his past resurfaces, tormenting and terrorizing him and his whole existence. Parrot is being pulled by strings that's controlled by someone so dear to him.
Or,
Parrot gets tormented by his dead best friend after defeating Lettuce and taking down the Law.
