Summary
Every prey hybrid would call Kaveh foolish for his actions — for getting close to a predator and challenging him all the time. But he never understood the fear. Alhaitham may be sharp-tongued and rude at times, but he was the brightest mind Kaveh ever met. Alhaitham focuses greatly on himself at all times. However, he does not do so out of a disregard for others; instead, it is a result of his rationality.
Kaveh swore up and down Alhaitham was nothing like the rude and stuck-up alphas, that he was different and would never hurt Kaveh in any way, shape or form. It felt like a fact to him — the grass was green, the sky was blue, and Alhaitham was the perfect mate that he could envision.
Or: Alhaitham's jealousy leads to a mutual confession.

Summary
The man currently in Kaveh's bedroom was the third one this month to possess undoubtedly similar qualities of his: structured builds, unruly grey hair, or quiet demeanors, etc.. However, none seemed to stick with Kaveh for some reason or another, none shifting to relationship status. It was selfish, but Alhaitham was relieved.
It was only then that he allowed himself to think that he still had a chance with Kaveh. Based on the repeated pattern, the only logical conclusion that Kaveh had a type. A type that included Alhaitham’s very own qualities.
Was Kaveh consciously aware of this? Was Kaveh was out there breaking his own heart with strangers, all because Alhaitham had been too fiercely protective of his own quiet life to show him what he truly felt?

"Mm. Okay." Grace watches him shuffle in place for a moment, claws tapping. "Can tell Rocky anyway. Is not rude if us. Few boundaries now."
"Yeah," he concedes. "Few boundaries now." He allows the blanket to slip over the curve of his shoulder so his wings might stretch out, feathers trembling and shivering at their tips.
