Summary
Hoshimi is a girl used to being used by men. When she runs from home and is saved by a demon slayer, she decides to take up arms under Tengen Uzui, learning the art of total concentration breathing. Before she sets off for final selection, she disguises herself as a boy named Hoshio, still unsure of the male population around her.
It's a long journey of not just demon slaying, but a long journey to self acceptance and being comfortable in her own skin again. A long journey to trusting those deserving of it, and a long journey to surviving not just for herself, but for others too.

Summary
“Why don’t you want me?” Yuuji interrupts, voice small and at odds with how much larger than life he usually is. “Is it my family?” Yuuji continues, a tremble beginning in his voice. “Is it me? I know I’m not as smart as Kamo but…” he exhales, looking up at the ceiling, a single tear falling down the side of his face.
“I loved you. I love you. I’d be so good to you,” he hiccups, tears now spilling down his cheeks. He raises a hand to roughly wipe away his tears, over and over as new tears replace old ones until he gives up and holds his face in his hands.
A pinky promise made under the cover of night seals Yuuji and Megumi together from childhood to adulthood.
The story of how they grow up together, grow apart and find each other once more.

Megumi opens his mouth, but no words come out. His voice sticks in his throat and chokes him. The silence stretches on; Nobara stops her tapping.
"Megumi," she says slowly. "Then what happened?"
