Her soft, long hair falls around our two faces like shimmering midnight blue curtains blocking out the rest of the glen. The long lines of her lithe body firmly press down against my own pinning me onto the soft grass. I can feel the brush of her wingtips on my outer thighs. She is my entire world. Her large violet star-filled eyes are my sky. Her warm breath on my face is the wind. Her skin is the earth I wish to rove and explore for the rest of my days. Here in this place, it doesn’t matter that we are from different courts. It doesn’t matter that she isn’t pure-blooded. She smiles, more beautiful than any spring rose, and moves to close the small distance between our lips. My eyes close in anticipation, but I don’t feel the soft delight of her lips upon my own. I don’t feel her pulsing heartbeat on my chest.

This work is a series of canon-compliant chapters that are meant to expand on Feyre’s time spying in the Spring Court in ACOWAR. There was just SO MUCH more that I wanted from that part of the book, like mating bond/mind-reading smut, Rhys, Lucien, and Tamlin’s POVs on different events, really getting into some of the feelings and challenges of the characters, especially jealousy and possessiveness, looking more at the day to day conversations, etc. The sections do flow chronologically.Rape/Non-Con Warning because of non-consensual touching on Tamlin's part that doesn't include penetration. Implied sexual assault associated with nightmares.
NOTE: One important change I made is that Feyre doesn’t get exposed to faebane until the day she leaves, so Rhys and Feyre are able to openly communicate and support each other throughout the experience.
