The man’s eyes go wide. “You’re sure? That doesn’t make you uncomfortable?”
”I’m okay with it if you are,” Minho shrugs again. “It’s kind of too late to do anything about it.”
“I’m okay with it, but how do I know you aren’t planning to kill me?” The man frowns, shielding himself slightly behind the door.
“That's the risk we both have to take.”
His eyes narrow, but he smiles. “Touche.” The man steps back and gestures for Minho to come in.
(OR: After a breakup, Minho wants a getaway from Christmas. The man in his Airbnb is making that difficult.)

Summary
“Okay,” Jisung finally says, face splitting into a wide smile. One that still feels a bit dusty but he remembers all the same.
“That’s all it took?” Minho laughs, and it's high and sweet. Not sinister at all. Not even a trickster, just a man on a mission. Determination running rampant through him. “I was ready to beg.”
Jisung is almost one hundred percent sure there is no way he will ever be able to transmute what Minho wants him to, but he’ll cross that bridge when he gets there. For now, he will wade in the joy, the feeling of something new approaching him for the first time ever.
“So, where are we going?” Jisung asks, unable to keep the excitement from his voice. “Hell?”
“Worse,” Minho shudders. “Palm Springs.”
(OR: Minho is on a cross-country mission to rescue his brother, and Jisung might be the only magic user who can help him. It’s the road trip of a lifetime.)

Summary
"Merpeople aren't real," Jisung blurts out, his statement contradicted before it's even out of his mouth as he stares at the shimmering blue tail attached to the man in his pool.
"Oh, sorry. Let me go inform my entire society that we don't exist," the man - the merman - snarks, hissing as he tugs on the net stuck under his scales.
Jisung has a lot of questions, some of them scientific and most of them stupid, but the stupidest one of all is somehow the one his brain lets slip past his lips. "How do you piss?"
(OR: Minho comes to shore determined to prove that love isn't real. Jisung thinks he can prove him wrong in order to get his wish of getting out of his hometown. Things do not go as planned for either of them.)
