“Hey, Dante, catch,” said Kate, and tossed him a Pepsi can. To their surprise, Dante caught it without looking, then popped the can open. “How’d you do that?” they asked.
“Do what?” he said.
“You just caught it out of the air!” They demonstrated for him, and Dante’s eyebrows knitted together.
“I don’t know,” he said. “I guess I’m just that good.”

Summary
Vergil arrives in the house of his and Dante's shared past, trapped in his seven-year-old body. As he explores the surreal illusion, he finds their mother making dinner in the kitchen. All his worries about a potential trap fade away. Just when Vergil thinks he can cast aside his fears entirely, one simple phrase destroys the beautiful image:
"Who's Dante, honey?"
