Summary
“Flowers can talk?”
“Not in that way.” Amidala breezed over to the bookshelf, thumbing the book in question. It was so old it wasn’t even a holobook, fancy in its leather bindings and flimsi pages with gold lettering. “Back in the day, flower arrangements were used to send secret messages. Sometimes it was as simple as tying a bloom to someone’s door handle, or dozens of flowers in a bouquet. Servants used to make arrangements outside of foreign dignitaries’ doors to tell each other who was trustworthy and who weren’t, and the Queen would wear crowns weaved of fresh blossoms to convey her sincerity in her duties.” She sighed, a soft smile on her face as she plucked the book from the shelf and ran her fingers over the cover. “Nowadays it’s considered old fashioned. It’s all about what matches the dress and the room colors now.”
The Coruscant Guard gets a book on flower language. It doesn't change much in the grand scheme of things, but it does have a profound impact on them all the same.

Summary
The D'Astan Sector has been a mess since Serenno abandoned the Republic and started the Separatist Movement. The Axxila Anti-Pirate Fleet is working on the double to protect the Sector and its remaining planets from an influx of criminal activity thriving off the chaos of war, with Firmus Piett at the helm of his own crew as the youngest Captain in the APF.
Finding a stray child on a pirate ship is just par for the course. He could do without the biting, the syndicates, the Mandalorians, and the well-meaning but clueless Mid-Rim teen who thinks he stole a kid, though.

Summary
Supplies for the Coruscant Guard had been on the brink of running out for months. None of the other Battalions had this issue. Line would know- he'd been volunteering for Storage duty since he arrived, had picked through every report he could get his hands on. Every request for more never went farther than Commander Fox, to no fault of his own. The Senate simply did not care.
Guess he'll have to get creative, then.
