JJ sits in the middle of the back row of an empty bus, her hands resting in her lap. She fidgets with the gold bracelet on her left wrist.
The silence settles around her, making the air almost feel unreal.
“I didn’t know you rode the bus”. A familiar voice calls from across from her.
JJ looks up to see Emily, sitting there in a black blazer and skirt. Her expression is calm and unreadable at first.
“I don’t, usually,” JJ says after a beat. “Just…today felt easier this way”.
A pause stretches between them, not awkward, just steady.
JJ tilts her head to the side slightly and furrows her brows. “What are you doing here…? You weren't on the bus with me”.
“Then I guess this isn’t a memory”. Emily pauses, “It’s a fantasy”. She says while standing up and walking in front of where JJ is sitting.

“Do you remember what happened at all?” Emily says, her hands sliding slowly up and down JJ’s arm.
“Kinda”. JJ says uncertain.
“Tell me”. Emily says, motioning towards the passenger seat beside her.
JJ made her way to the passenger door, climbing inside.
Emily places her hands right back where she had them, sliding them along JJ arms slowly.
JJ shudders slightly.
“I… I was driving on my way to my apartment-”
“What type of car do you own”? Emily interrupts her while snaking her hand up to JJ’s neck, bringing her slightly closer.
The touch of Emily's hand on her neck sends electricity down her spine. “Aston Martin DB12”. She barely whispers.
“Keep going”. Emily whispers into JJ’s ear.
“I was driving the speed limit, both hands on the wheel”. JJ says slowly.
Emily begins pressing a series of slow kisses down JJ’s neck.
JJ gasps softly.
“And.. and then out of nowhere…a car came from my right side, crashing into me…”
