These questions used to make him angry. How did people expect him to respond to that? It was his dream to become a hero, and it had been ripped out of his hands just as he had finally grasped it. Of course it hurt. However, as the years passed, he eventually grew numb to the question. There was no point in getting upset. Everyone meant well—they just didn’t know what it was like to be quirkless, and they never would.

A now quirkless Izuku Midoriya, is in his third year of teaching at U.A. and he's never been happier. At least that's what he tells everyone. Constant reminders of what he lost leaves him feeling bitter and isolated. Avoiding his mother and grappling with guilt, Izuku has never felt lower, but all that will change with a surprise call from none other than Bakugou Katsuki.
