“We have to kill him,” Mike finishes fiercely, and for a second, Will pictures him in full paladin gear, making the same speech in a castle, or a magical forest, or a dark dungeon. He’s every bit the boy Will’s always known, the one who stands up for his friends and his principles and never, ever backs down. Even when the odds are against them. Even when they’re impossible.
Will swears that he can feel electricity crackling in the air, Mike’s last sentence settling on the group like a physical weight. Everyone looks impressed: Jonathan, Hopper, even Owens. Will knows the look on his own face must be incredibly obvious, incredibly stupid.
He doesn’t care. That’s the Mike he knows. That’s the Party’s leader.
That’s the boy Will fell in love with.

Summary
“What is going on?!” Mike's voice is fills with stress and confusion. “What did I do?”
Will laughs, drunkenly, before answering, “You’ve basically been on me all night!”
Mike drops his remaining hand down Will and loops it around his waist as he speaks. "You’ve been acting weird, and I want to help you! All night, your scent has been driving me-” Will whines at Mike's movement, and it hits him too. “Will, are you a…?” He trails off, turning to El. “Is he...?”

Will pretends to be normal, he's supposed to be normal for another day. He thought he could be a regular teenager, just for the night, just for the hangout. Though, nothing ever goes his way as things start to spiral when he sees Mike Wheeler.

Summary
By all measures, Mike is a good alpha. He checks all the boxes, really. Protective without being overbearing, quick to step in when someone’s in trouble, careful but not patronizing. He’s loud and boisterous, sure, but he’s also earnest, and sweet, and so goddamn chivalrous it’s stupid.
It’s all so horribly infuriating, and so infuriatingly endearing.
That’s the thing about instincts. They make everything so confusing. Will knows, rationally, that all of these things are just Mike’s way of being a good friend and packmate. And yet, there’s still a part of him—a decidedly omega part—that relishes in the attention in a way he knows he shouldn’t.
Navigating teenage relationships is hard enough. It's even harder when instincts get involved.

Summary
At first, Mike was unsure how to approach him when he got like this. But they’ve been living together for months now, never further than five feet apart in their dorm beds, so Mike’s learned what works and what doesn’t.
It works when he wakes Will like this, with gentle hands and words, telling him he’s safe. It works when he climbs into Will’s warm bed, turning him on his side and curling up against his back, an arm over his waist and his cheek pressed against his shoulder. They lie together like that until Will’s hiccupping gasps soften into steady breaths, until Mike feels him go limp in his arms and he knows he’s fallen back asleep. It always works.
or: Will has nightmares and Mike is the only one who can console him. Not even Will's boyfriend can. Mike takes great pride in this fact.

Will grew quiet, finding it difficult to form a proper sentence. And, then, after giving it some thought, his lips parted;
“I guess.. Painting just helps me express how I really feel at times. But It’s just all these feelings— They’re so different, and— And when you feel… Different, sometimes you feel like… A mistake.

After being shown dark, horrible visions of what would happen to him, his friends and family, Will is scared that Henry will come after Joyce, Jonathan and Mike. After successfully coming out to Jonathan and Joyce, it leaves Mike; the boy he thinks is his Tammy.
