It was difficult to like someone like Jax. Everyone in the Digital Circus knew this, but no one more fervently than Ragatha. He was a nuisance, a trickster, a fiend… whatever word that could potentially be used to describe him fit the bill.
And yet, she couldn’t bring herself to hate him.
Perhaps it was because of their past—they had known each other far longer than the rest, except for Kinger. Their friendship turned to ruin many years ago, but she had been the one to drag the baggage cart.
After a night of being unable to sleep, she finds him in a brief moment of seclusion. From then on, the two increasingly find themselves at the behest of the other. They both begin to question their relationship, if they ever had one in the first place, and what shall become of it.
