There was an obscure unofficial comic created in the early 1990s titled Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Birds the Bees and the Turtles (1993).
As you can see, this was not intended to reach fans but remain an inside joke among Mirage staff. But… fans find ways and with the internet things have now become much more accessible than they were over three decades ago.
This fanfic takes place after the events of that comic.
