    “I promised we would stay with them,” Pepper answered, shooting him a quick look, because they’d been over this particular topic several times leading up to the trip. “I don’t visit often, and they want to get to know you.”

    “Yeah Mr. Stark,” Peter chirped from behind the bags, grinning cheekily at his mentor. “It won’t be so bad.”

    “Hush it, brat. I’ll ship you right back to Queens. Don’t test me.”

    Pepper rolled her eyes and moved away from the car, leaving the two behind to walk across the dirt path cutting through the lawn leading up to the front porch. Tony and Peter lag along behind her, toting their bags along with them.

    “Y’know,” Peter huffed, “I should document this trip-”

    “No, you really shouldn’t.”

    Tony Stark has a contingency plan for everything. One of those plans includes giving JARVIS his very own, easy to reach phone number, just in case he ever falls without any of his own tech and has to rely on contacting him through something as outdated as let’s say a flip phone (oh, the horror).

    For JARVIS this just means keeping tabs on one small extra thing. It’s not like anyone ever really calls the number. Other than the occasional telemarketer or prank call, it doesn’t get a lot of traffic. Or at least, that is until one very young and very determined boy decides to befriend the ‘odd English mister’ on the other side of the line.
