Summary
“What is your name, little one?”
Though he’d just come to life, this was the one thing Khaslana knew for certain.
“Khaslana.”
Golden threads suddenly appeared around him for a fraction of a second, flashing with pure power, before suddenly disappearing.
Something felt different.
“You have much to learn, little one, a name should not be given out this easily, especially not from a child. From now on, you will answer to the name Phainon, is that clear?”
And he felt the threads from earlier pulse once more, though not appearing this time, almost compelling him to nod in agreement.
Or, Mydei meets a strange man in the forest while going on a walk for a school project.

Summary
A single thought frayed its path through the void that had slowly begun replacing her shell. A memory, though she felt as if she could no longer tell when or how it had happened.
“My own life, I shall not sacrifice,” a voice rang through her ears.
Fitting, really, how wrong she was, but Hornet thought of no such thing as she closed her eyes for the final time.
A retelling of Hollow Knight: Silksong's secret/true ending because I am obsessed. Beware spoilers

Summary
…Wise doubted the stationary tuft of fur would offer Inky the playtime he was seeking.
Maybe it had been left there by another stray cat Inky was familiar with. His only other theory was for the hair to be Howl’s, but Inky had only ever relaxed around the dog, not willing to play games even if Howl insisted with too many licks and nudges to count.
“Come on, let’s go home, Inky. No use staying here.”
The cat didn’t even pretend to listen. Wise sighed.
“Would it help if I brought along the fur?”
And that did the trick; Inky was now staring at him.
Or, what if instead of being Phaethon, legendary proxies, Wise and Belle were just... regular-ish people? And what if the stray cat they semi-adopted found a very interesting tuft of fur on 6th Street and just had to have it for himself?

Summary
"I know of something else that could... stay inside, expendable,” Sebastian says, only for you to need to resist the urge to sigh.
"Oh fuck off, dude, I'm literally dying because of you," you reply, annoyed, “Unless you're here to give me a medkit, you ca—"
You suddenly cut yourself off, seeing him bring out a medkit out of literally nowhere. Where had he been holding it?
He hummed playfully while looking at it, as if considering whether to pass it over or not.
"It seems you're… in need of this little thing, yes?"
The tone of voice he had used made you shiver, it was far too low and sultry for your liking, but you nodded all the same—You'd have said something, but the blood loss was really taking a toll on you; any non obligatory noises would have to be avoided until you were patched up.
“Yes, yes, that you do,” Sebastian giggled creepily, “But… I also happen to be… in need of something. How about we help each other out, expendable, mh?”
Or, reader gets scared and uses a flash beacon on Sebastian out of reflex. It goes just about how you'd expect.

Summary
Mydei was… confused, to say the least. It was difficult not to be, really; he was currently being pinned down by a creature far from common. A merman, Hyacine had called it.
Was Mydei supposed to believe the aquarium had enough money to buy that thing? He just hoped they didn’t capture the being too roughly, as it was clearly sentient.
…And horny, too, going by the two tentacle-like appendages throbbing against his leg.
Mydei, after an injury, ends up hanging out with his friends some more, leading him to a visit to an aquarium. There, he meets a new particularly-amical person.
Or, my late contribution to mermay. Chapter 2 coming out tomorrow, and 3, eventually.
