Patrzył w podłogę i zdawać by się mogło, że bezczelnie uśmiecha się, jakby nie rozumiał sytuacji, w której się znalazł. Straszenie go w tym momencie, że pożałuje, było zwyczajnie nie na miejscu, więc zamachnąłem się i z otwartej dłoni wycelowałem w jego policzek, mając względną nadzieję, że chociaż to doprowadzi go do ładu. Zero szacunku na terenie wroga, hm?
Pogrywał sobie z nami i nawet to go nie ruszyło, bo upadłszy na podłogę, prychnął cicho pod nosem. Fujima podciągnął go nieco, by wrócił do poprzedniej pozycji, a sam przemierzyłem cały pokój z zamiarem przeciągnięcia sobie krzesła na tyle, że spokojnie mógłbym usiąść przed nim i nie krępować się niczym więcej. Rosjanin dopiero wtedy zdecydował się odezwać. A raczej, podnieść mi ciśnienie, bo nadal nie zrozumiał, że od tej pory ma być nam posłuszny.

Summary

And will I ever get to have a say in what we could be?”
Kaveh spends his last summer before college working odd jobs, eyes on his future as an architect. Fourteen years later, established and jaded, Kaveh finds that he spends most of his spare time looking back. He doesn’t want to take this life he’s built for granted, but his heart seems to always be at odds with his mind.
Then he receives a letter from his mother: an invitation to attend her wedding in Fontaine. A chance to catch up, to close the rift between them. Adrift and longing for connection, Kaveh is tempted by her offer. He’s only held back by his inability to speak the language.
Somehow, his best option is to ask a man drinking coffee alone to help him learn. And so he crosses his fingers and hopes that something good will come from taking the leap.

It’s been two months since the storm, and Childe hasn’t seen Zhongli not even once, not since that fateful meeting with the Signora where the truth is finally unveiled.
And what a fun little kick to the gut that is, the realization that not only had he been played by all sides, but he's also being tossed aside like trash now that his use had run its course.
It’s not that Childe doesn’t get it. He’s a Harbinger. He knows first-hand what it means to do his duty, to put the mission first and his personal feelings far, far away, preferably locked up in a box, where it wouldn’t interfere with his job. He knows what it’s like working with vipers, to scheme and plot and lie in wait for the opportune moment to stab his opponent in the back.
But this time, this time Childe can’t help but feel a little (a lot) gutted.
Stupid. He’s gotten himself stupidly attached.
