Summary
She knew the frame first, the hunched form of a Hyde, muscles rippling angrily under its stone-gray skin, the elongated fingers ending with razor-sharp claws. It panted at her, bloodshot eyes surveying her almost judgementally for only a few mere seconds, watching as she continued to evacuate her stomach full of blood-tinged water. Its entire body shivered and then there was a breaking sound, like bones snapping, like skin splitting. She watched in half-unconscious horror as the creature shifted in front of her, thirding in size and then it wasn’t a Hyde at all staring at her.
It was something far worse.
“Why the fuck can’t you stay out of situations that end in certain death, Wednesday Addams?” Tyler Galpin asked, towering over her, soaking wet, bleeding from the nose, completely naked, and breathing heavily.

Summary
“We gotta get you right Syd! But we got plenty of time. We can not have you representing The Bear in your baggy sweaters and overalls.” Marcus ribs her in a playful way.
“Dude, shut up! Let’s get back to work chefs!” Sydney calls out to the kitchen so they can get the dinner prep done before their booked night.
Carmy taps his spoon against the back of his hand as his mind starts flooding with ideas, but instead of meat, sauce, and herbs, it’s fabrics, patterns, and stitch variations. It’s long limbs tailored to perfection around soft curves. It’s bright colors that compliment deep brown skintones.
“Carm, hey.” Sydney snaps at his face quickly to bring his attention back to the present. “Where’d you go? Can you pass me the strainer please?”
“Yeah, sorry chef. Um, just thinking.”
“You wanna tell me about it?” She raises her eyebrows at him in concern. His anxiety was better than it had been in the beginning, but Sydney was still cautious about him anytime he zoned out for any significant period of time. He couldn’t admit in the middle of service how he was zoned out thinking about how he wanted to dress her.

Summary
Harry doesn’t think much about the Triwizard Tournament beyond being relieved that he won’t have anything to do with it at all. It seems like he might finally have a quiet, peaceful year.
So, of course, his name ends up coming out of the Goblet of Fire despite the fact that he would never in a million years enter this death tournament willingly.
The entire school turns their back on him once more, only this time, he truly feels alone. Is this how it’s always going to be? Year after year of being thrown into life-threatening danger at Hogwarts while surrounded by people who can’t decide whether they love or hate him only to be shunted off to the Dursleys –who certainly aren’t shy about how much they hate him– every summer?
It feels like the fighting never ends. Harry is so, so tired…

Summary
There was another student here.
Tom recognized him vaguely—while transfer students were not necessarily uncommon due to the war, they were rare enough to at least make an impression. This particular transfer student was in his year, sorted into Ravenclaw after an impressively long hat stall. He looked like he might be descended from the Potter line, but he did not share the surname so his lineage was of no particular interest to Tom. Nothing about him was of particular interest to Tom, in fact, and yet here he stood, holding the book that Tom had come here to find.
It would be a good time to turn away. The Restricted Section was restricted for a reason—only books documenting extremely dangerous or extremely advanced magic were stored here.
Tom’s feet, however, suddenly felt as if they were made of lead. It wasn’t magic keeping him tied down, but something far more mysterious like curiosity or even fate. In any case, the delay was all it took for the Ravenclaw to lift his chin and meet Tom’s eyes.
This Ravenclaw, Tom realized, had eyes as blindingly green as the Killing Curse.
