Given that Wei Wuxian was on that side, this wasn’t particularly surprising, although it did nothing to appease the knotted apprehension in Jiang Cheng’s stomach. The suggestion to come back later died on his lips as Lan Wangji reached out and, without even a warning knock, opened the door.
Wei Wuxian’s head whipped around to the door, his eyes wide with surprise. “Lan Zha-- YINGYING, NO!"
One moment, Jiang Cheng stood frozen with shock as his brother lunged after a blur of white.
The next, he had been tackled to the floor and his face was being licked.
“Wei Ying,” Lan Wangji said. “Why do you have a dog?”
