    You've been worried for him lately, more than usual. You spoke to Arthur about your troubles, your worries for Dutch - he shared them too, however; "There ain't no talkin' him out of this, not from me anyway. He don't listen to me all that much no more... but he always had a soft spot for you."

    So then, as you found yourself walking up the groaning, worn-out steps of the Shady Belle and up towards the door of the master bedroom - your heart thumped in your chest, an unease washed over you for reasons you could not understand as you brought your knuckles against the door... and knocked.
