Sans didn’t know what kept drawing him to watch you, but something drew him to you like a little fish to the lure of an angler fish.

Summary
You're an engineer who works for Ebott's best research facility in one of the labs; your lifelong dream after finding a journal on Mount Ebott when you were a kid. When you aren't in the lab being smart, you're gathering materials at the abandoned doll factory for the machine you're trying to build.
But one night, you meet a skeleton at the factory. Naturally, you lie about why you're there and say you're there to hunt ghosts. You befriend him and try to find a way to gather the materials while keeping up with that lie. But those lies catch up to you when you start to meet all the other skeletons.

He’s also not fully canon-compliant in terms of power scaling and has and maybe different origin and personality.

Moon frowned, "Sun what the hell are you going on about."
Bloodmoon leered at him, "That's not of your concern, moonman."
"A deal, Moon, a deal," Sun squeaked, casting a pleading glance at his brother. Sun's expression begged Moon to go along with it, if only to ensure the twins would leave them alone, sparing himself, Moon, Lunar... anyone, really.
Moon felt a mix of confusion and seething anger at Sun's willingness to negotiate with Bloodmoon—spare him? After all the harm this bastard had caused them? Killing their sister, breaking their baby brother's arm? But desperation clouded his judgment—right now, he didn't want the twins to harm his brother.
Shakily, Moon lowered his weapon.

Dull, gunmetal grey fingers dug into the desk. Well, weren't they a bunch of quick little motherfuckers.
“Fine, then we'll play the long game.”, he hissed. “All efforts on breaking through. Highest priority.”
UNDERSTOOD.
With a quiet huff, he turned his attention away from the computer screen and down to the broken, charred animatronic frame that lay at his feet. He dragged them up by their collar, staring into a barely flickering optic.
“Alright then. Let's see if you can actually be useful for something.”
