Ren’s rumbling thoughts come to an abrupt halt.

“Akechi isn’t drunk. He can’t be drunk unless he’s gotten alcohol from somewhere else, though he seemed very sober to me whenever I saw him.”
“Then his water is spiked,” Ren lamely explains, because the implications of what Makoto just said and the sheer amount of possibilities unfolding inside his brain at neckbreaking speed are terrifying.

They stood in the doorway just staring at each other for a few seconds, Goro squinting at Akira as if trying to comprehend why the boy was there. He seemingly recalled the reason and moved to let Akira in, bringing a palm to cover his mouth as he let out a yawn.
“Sorry.” Goro said, closing the door behind Akira. “I ended up falling asleep.”
“It's– it's okay.” Akira replied, crouching a bit to take off his shoes at the entrance before directing himself to the kitchen to drop the food containers as per usual. He turned around, still not believing the sight in front of him, entirely aware of how embarrassingly gone he was for the other boy at that point. “You seem tired still. Do you– want me to go? You can rest more if you want to.”
Goro rolled his eyes at the proposal, heading to the couch instead. “I was unaware one of your many part-time jobs included being a delivery man; I sure as hell am not paying you for it. Just pour me some coffee and come here.”

The silence that reigns afterwards is deafening. All eyes are trained on Goro, who is beginning to feel a deep and terrible sense of foreboding.

The silence continues for only a beat before Futaba begins cackling, and that’s when Akechi knows it’s over.
The Thieves realise that Goro’s Crow mask reminds them of a mosquito. Goro and Akira are hiding the fact that they are dating. These two things come together in Goro’s life, somehow.
