Summary
A high-class party hosted by the Medarda's may not be the best place for drunken silliness, but that doesn't stop Jayce and his friends from finding ways to make their evening more fun. However, one poor drunken decision later, Jayce is trapped in the dark alone until a glittering "princess" literally falls into his lap. For Jayce, it's love at first sight despite his princess' claim to be nothing more than a frog under a spell.

“Viktor you sick son of a bitch!” Jayce marches into the lab with all the grace of a chimpanzee on steroids.
Viktor barely looks up from where he's nose-deep in his soldering, unimpressed by the outburst.
Jayce crosses the room in three quick strides, shoves a finger into his face, and says, “The Zaunish tradition was fucking fake.”
Viktor, as it turns out, is a bastard.

"What's your name?"
The child blinks at him, then lifts a little hand to make what is recognizably letters in the sign language alphabet, but too quickly (and possibly clumsily, given tiny fingers) for Jayce to follow.
"Sorry," Jayce says. "I didn't catch that, I'm not very good with sign. Can you go slower for me?"
The child looks up at Viktor with wide, solemn eyes and tugs on his pants sharply, twice.
Viktor smiles down and brushes his hand over unruly curls. "Her name is Isha," he tells Jayce.
"You have a very pretty name," Jayce tells Isha seriously. "You want to trade? I could be Isha and you could be Jayce."

Jayce opened his mouth. Closed it. Dug through his memories, until he was reasonably certain they were correct. "What family?"
