Summary
So this scene is a by-product of my annoyance at the Game of Thrones writers for interrupting the interaction between Oberyn Martell and Olyver played by Will Tudor before it could even begin. This scene takes place in Two Swords, though evidently in an alternate version!
Also warning this is going to be consensually dubious and a little dark… don’t read on if that ain’t your thing - and remember this is all a fantasy!!!

Nothing could ever compare to the roar of the engine, a rumbling purr that he could feel vibrating from the metal of the floor and into his chest. All cylinders firing, turbo-charged, shiny and chrome, the taste of freedom and speed.
Happiness was the wheel clenched between his fists. Happiness was the scent of guzzaline and exhaust and hot metal and leather and oil against the skin. Happiness was the wind whipping past his face in a spray of hot sand and grit and dust, nothing but the open road before them.
Happiness was his heart pounding so hard against his ribcage, the fire of adrenaline, the sound of Slit crowing with joy from his precarious position in the lancer’s perch, pounding his fist with excitement against the hood of the car.
“Faster!” he heard Slit call.
Happiness was the thrill of the hunt.

Summary
Cahir believed that he could bear any pain. That his punishment was deserved, that he had done wrong, and that the betrayal he had committed was near unforgivable. He was willing to bear any amount of pain to regain and re-earn his spot at the White Flame’s side.
He could bear physical pain, yes. But it is not only fists and blades that can leave permanent scars.
Post Season 2 finale, Emhyr arranges for Cahir's peers to adequately punish him on Emhyr's behalf. After all, the emperor can't always drop everything to punish a disobedient pet. Then again, Cahir was his favourite...
