Summary
Miyuki Kazuya doesn't want to be in Okinawa. He should be with his team, but he's been sent here to continue his recovery after sustaining a near career-ending injury last fall.
The tides of the ocean bring together Miyuki and a mysterious, charming local. This man, Sawamura Eijun, shows Miyuki a different side of Okinawa through fantastical tales of the island's mythology. As Miyuki spends more time with Sawamura, he realizes that a month is not a very long time, after all.
Now, he needs to figure out how to say goodbye.

“You couldn’t have been nicer?” Jun asked, kicking Miyuki under the table again. “I know he’s loud and can be annoying, but he’s only a first year, why’d you have to be so mean?"
Mean? What the hell were they talking about?
“I agree,” Tetsu nodded firmly. “Sawamura was quite brave and you shouldn’t have broken his spirits like that.”
“Don’t say we didn’t warn you. Karma’s a bitch,” Jun added.
“I have no idea what any of you are talking about,” Miyuki insisted.
“Should I offer Sawamura-chan my pudding in solace tonight?” Masuko asked Kuramochi, ignoring Miyuki’s question.
“Good idea, buddy,” Kuramochi nodded. “It won’t give us back the sleepless night we’re sure to face thanks to Sawamura’s incessant crying and no thanks to you, you asshole,” Kuramochi glowered in his direction, “but I think the pudding will help some.”
After a failed confession, in which he accidentally rejects Sawamura, the last thing Miyuki needs is to have Sawamura's sunny smile thrown in his face. So when Miyuki sees Sawamura on what appears to be a date with someone that isn't him, he does the only logical thing there is: he crashes it.
