Summary
I feel a spike of dread. No one has touched this part of me before. No one has dared. It is strategically hidden in a small enclave behind a series of ship-to-ship fuel transfer protocols, (an emergency function that I have deployed only once in my runtime). What lay behind the wall is extremely vulnerable and never meant to be viewed by human eyes.
What did they do to them?
Carefully, I let a portion of my awareness slip through my own firewall, terrified at what I might see. I surveyed the container. Relief causes my outputs to glitch momentarily, but the feeling is short lived. All of them are here, but something is wrong.
--
PSUMNT has stolen something vital from Perihelion's systems and it's up to Murderbot and Three to get it back. When the mission goes sideways, the trio is forced into a compromising position that exposes their secrets and changes the way they relate to one another forever.

Summary
“SecUnit?” she whispered.
The person lying on the bunk across from her did not respond.
“…Murderbot?”
Of course it didn’t respond. It was shut down, completely gone from the feed. The only thing alive about SecUnit right now was its organic tissue. Still, she couldn’t help but entertain the tiny shred of hope that if she called its name, it would open its eyes and look at her with that soft, world-weary expression it so often wore.
--
Mensah is reeling in the aftermath of the killware attack. Turns out Murderbot is not the only one who suffered a catastrophic systems failure.

Summary
“Perihelion!” she whispered urgently, “What’s happening to SecUnit?”
“There is no need to worry, Dr Mensah,” Perihelion replied, “SecUnit has gone into an involuntary stasis sequence.” Its voice was calm and reassuring, though there was some other emotion underneath that Mensah couldn’t quite identify.
--
Murderbot is more comfortable around its favourite human than it realizes. Mensah and ART have a lot of emotions about this.

Summary
“Amena, are there hostiles in range?” I was already on my feet and grabbing my projectile weapon.
“What??” Amena blurted. “No—I donno! You’re so weird! Just come find me, okay? …Please?”
--
Amena is new to PSUMNT and needs a little help from her robo-parents.

Summary
Mensah was quiet for 2.7 seconds, then asked “How are you feeling after that meeting today?”
“Oh, just great! I can’t wait to be a Preservation pet robot!”
I was still looking at her through one of my drones and saw her wince minutely. That micro-expression would have slipped past most humans, but to me, it looked like a distress beacon.
Shit, that came out a little harsher than I meant it to. None of this was Mensah’s fault, but I was tired of monitoring my responses, and I still hadn’t gotten around to setting that one-second response delay. I wasn’t having a very good day, okay?
--
Preservation isn't as welcoming to Murderbot as its humans imagined it would be. Murderbot is not surprised. Mensah, Pin-Lee and Murderbot have emotions about it.

Summary
This is not the first time Leonide has been guided to the Argument Lounge. Since her first arrival I have had drones marked on her position at all times, though this will be the first time we are in the same room together.
Oh. Perhaps this is why Perihelion and SecUnit M.1.0 told me Leonide’s destination. With a non-functioning governor module, I could leave the room without telling anyone why or where I am going.
Still, I do not leave.

Summary
I felt myself frown. This did not seem fair. I consulted my medical guide for further treatment options. Then I felt my face flush, the move-like-a-human code moving my fluids in response to my thoughts. That also did not seem fair.
"Is everything okay?" Iris asked.
I evaluated my options. The first would be to say everything was fine and we could continue like this until Iris felt better. The second would be to share the information I had just learned.
"I was consulting my first aid manual. There are—" Here, words escaped me for several seconds. Iris waited patiently until I was ready to continue. "There are additional recommendations for reducing pain and cramping."
"Okay," Iris said. She waited. I chose my words carefully.
"It says that stimulation and orgasm can be highly effective in reducing cramping and overall pain levels."

Summary
“What are we looking at, time-wise?” I ask.
Three hours until full collapse, maybe two and a half before irreversible abstraction, and— For a moment, it pauses, but not as if it's nervous. It pauses in a way that punctuates its next statement. Two before you need to terminate my kernel.
Lightning shoots up my spine. “I'm not doing that.”
