Summary
Humans, at one point, reigned above all other forms of life. They were at the top of the food chain, at the height of discovery and of intelligence. For thousands of years, that was the known truth.
Nothing could challenge them, nothing could destroy them, nothing could take a place above them and rule over them.
But yet, the world has been taken over.
Now, many would hear that and assume one of two things - aliens invaded and took over, or the human-made creation of artificial intelligence has rebelled and taken charge.
The year of 2087 was the Year of the Fae.
Fairies.
Fucking. Fairies.
Now, the fae are amused by humans. Amused to the point where they take them in as pets. There are shelters dedicated to capturing humans so that the fae folk can adopt them like dogs.
You were a stray.
But now, here you are, with two prissy fae fawning over you after they picked you out from the shelter that you ended up in, and by everything holy, you are Not Having It.

With a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, people would think you would be set. And they would be right of course since you managed to get a job at Freddy Fazbear's Mega Pizzaplex as a mechanic. But you decided to run life on hard mode signing up to get another bachelors in computer science! With the higher-up's approval, that is, since you had signed away your soul to the Freddy Fazbear. At least your pay is good enough to pay off your new classes.
Oh, there is also the fact that you're primarily the Daycare Attendents' mechanic, and you also have to help out at the Daycare part-time. But hey, you're a tired college student who survives on caffeine and spite, so there is no way this can go wrong, right?
