After a battle with a mad scientist goes a bit haywire, Bruce, Natasha and Tony get regressed back to childhood. Tony was the closest so he became the youngest, Bruce not far behind and Natasha following him.
Now Clint, Steve and Bucky are trying to handle the children whilst SHEILD work their asses off to fix the mess that was made.
Wanda is not a nice girl in this. Sam and Scott are the awkward uncles that show up at random and try to be cool but in reality their weird and are only good for food.

Another foster home. That's all Tony saw this as. He didn't think kids got to go to back into fostering after group homes. But here he was, walking up the steps to another weird family with three other weird kids.
So, no, he doesn't see anything coming out of this. They'll ship him off in four to five months just like all the others. They'll get annoyed and find him too wound-up even if he tries really hard not to be, just like all the others. They'll call him stupid, too, just like all the others. He's sure if it.

Natasha slings Tony's arm around her shoulder and helps him to his feet. Then, she reaches for the shield. There is a long, ugly scratch through the star in the middle, and Tony vacillates between being horrified and smug.
“Leave it,” he argues, looking away as if the sight might cause him to collapse again.
“No,” she says, strapping it to her arm. He has seen that look on her face before, in a crowded lab on a Helicarrier, in the compound after Rhodey fell from the sky. He knows there is no arguing with her, and he is too weak to argue with fists anymore.
Natasha leaves that bunker with the knowledge that everything she is holding in her arms is what’s left of the Avengers.

Summary
Steve was never frozen, and Bucky was recovered from HYDRA. But, Steve went on to marry Howard, which had been a mistake on both their parts. Unfortunately though, neither of them realized that until they had a two year old boy, and a long and coming divorce to settle between them. Howard had no standing in this settlement though. His husband was Captain America the sweetheart of American culture, and he was the hardass drunk who ran Stark Industries.
So, of course, Steve walked away with enough to live comfortably and not work until Tony was at least twenty, which was nice because his little boy kept him busy. Steve wasn’t trying to live off of Howard, he just couldn’t stand the thought of being away from his little boy right now, and Tony was clingy enough to let him.
About forty years later though, and Steve Barnes (nee Rogers, after his marriage to Bucky Barnes, the best friend who stuck by his side to help him raise a bratty little boy, and picked up the broken pieces that Howard had left behind) had almost forgotten just how much he didn’t miss having the worlds clingiest child ever. You know, until his baby got turned back into his baby on national television…
