Summary
With an unsettling calm that only comes when one is holding an iron leash on their rage, Jiang Cheng holds Suibian in front of himself, grasps the hilt, and unsheathes the sword enough to clearly show the base of the blade.
“You lied to me,” is the auspicious start to the conversation Jiang Cheng has spent weeks planning. “You did, I think, the most terrible thing anyone has ever done to me.”
You carved open my brother. You mutilated him to mend a damage that I knowingly walked toward in the pursuit of his well-being, and never even gave me a choice in the matter.
“And you lied to do it. And then you kept lying.”
Built off an AU where Jiang Cheng comes across Suibian without Wen Ning there to cruelly but truthfully explain why he is able to draw it despite being sealed, and puts the pieces of the transfer together himself. When viewed through this critical new lens, so much of Wei Wuxian’s actions and behaviors start to make sense. Given the time to actually process this information and start to work through the anger and grief and love and betrayal and guilt of it all, the confrontation with Wei Wuxian goes a bit differently.

“Do you ever regret it?” The words are spoken softly, almost hesitantly, a sharp contrast to Shima’s usual bravado that truly highlights just how serious the situation is. Yukio pauses before responding, trying to get his thoughts in order and coughing a little bit on the blood he can now feel pooling in his lungs.
“Sometimes.” He admits. “When it’s a particularly bad day and it feels like nothing we’ve done has been of any real consequence, like everything we’ve sacrificed has been for nothing and our suffering was pointless.

It was during his last year at Hogwarts when it happened, the memories. They had been coming for a while now: visions of friends and places that seemed familiar, but he was sure he'd never seen before. Sudden feelings of anxiety, anger, or more commonly, sorrow, that made no sense in the situation. Or sometimes simply a feeling of deja vu when eating ice cream or watching the sunset. The adrenaline hasn’t settled out yet because his hands are still shaking, in fact all of him is still shaking. Why hasn’t he caught his breath yet? He presses a hand against the pinch in his chest like that might help. And why does it feel like there’s a rod jammed low in his sternum–
“Oh, fuck,” she says, her gaze sweeping him up and down.
He glances down to see what’s upset her – maybe she’s just offended that his cologne rubbed off on her or afraid he’ll blame her for the minor road rash that stings all the way up his left arm–
“Oh –” the knot in his chest is actually a hole and it’s bleeding over his hand “– fuck.”

Leia is about to hit her breaking point and, well, she is a Skywalker, so she might just about do something stupid to finally break free. Consequences be damned.

Summary
After the murder of Jin Rusong, Jiang Cheng wants nothing more than to bring his nephew back to Lotus Pier and never let him leave. Unfortunately, that was considered kidnapping and frowned upon by most sects. The Lanling Jin sect was a pit of snakes, always lying and scheming. It was not a place Jiang Cheng felt comfortable with his nephew living in. But, bar kidnapping (again, frowned upon), there wasn't much he could do.
But, then again, the Jin Sect would never be so rude as to deny Jin Ling a family tradition. And if that tradition happens to be a personal servant, who could possibly complain?

Jiang Cheng assigns Jin Ling a life long protector, a spider, as per Meishan Yu tradition. This protector just happens to be A-Qing.

Thinking about him brings forward the memory of Lan Jingyi’s eyes—the colour of silver flecked with amber, a unique shade that hopefully nobody thought too deeply about—and how they had peered through him. In them was surprise and, most startling of all, no judgement. He seems to have inherited that from Zewu-jun, who has looked at Jiang Cheng with steadfastness and gentleness.
