There was nothing to be embarrassed about. He knew that. It was logical. Yet, there was a little less tension in his shoulders every time he put on a wig; it was easier to see with colored contacts, and he walked better in shoes that were not his. It was so satisfying to pretend to be someone else for a bit.
He was Timothy Drake, a son of a millionaire, and he was Red Robin. Those were the only personas he would occasionally get sick of. There wasn’t much time to be Tim, to be himself.
He’s never liked attention, and he had attention on him all the time. So what if clothing that was not his, makeup that changed his features, and hiding behind a different mask made his heart lighter and his lungs feel bigger? So what if he was a little scared of someone finding that part of him out?

Husk had tried to avoid every billboard since then, scared he would see Angel Dust’s face with that fake smile he despised. No matter how much he avoided the pictures, there were times when he simply couldn’t, and in those moments, the pain would come back again, fresh and raw, as if he experienced it just the day before. It was crazy to Husk that it’s been over four years.
After over four years, he saw Angel again. He didn’t know if it was a dream come true or a nightmare.
He always thought of himself as no coward, this day showed him how big of a one he was. Maybe this was his only chance, Husk thought. He decided not to waste it.
