This is a choose your own adventure where the choices are made via Tumblr Poll. I started the story when polls were first introduced to Tumblr earlier this year, but rapidly found it challenging to link back and forth between posts to create a continuity readers could easily follow. I'm starting up again, but using AO3 to store the continuity.
As a character you may stumble upon settings, objects, and possibly characters from many fandoms. I expect this to remain teen-rated and think it unlikely to have shipping, but that may change.

Summary
After a fatal crash, Detective Gavin Reed wakes up in a body that isn’t his.
Rebuilt as an android by a brother he’d spent most of his life avoiding, Gavin is left with more questions than answers. He’s not dead, but he sure as hell isn’t the same, and figuring out what that means might be harder than dying in the first place.
Between a partner who won’t leave his side and a case that cuts deeper than expected, Gavin is forced to confront everything he thought he knew about identity, loss, and what it means to still be here.

Following the Android revolution, Gavin’s worldview has been practically turned upside down. Androids are recognized as ‘people’ now, and Fowler’s been on his ass about his attitude more than usual. Oh, and not to mention a serial killer is running rampant, stealing biocomponents and killing anyone who gets in his way.
And who does he have to work with to catch this son of a bitch? The android sent by fucking Cyberlife.
So yeah, you could say Gavin’s having a pretty shit week.

Summary
Gavin remembers getting ready for work in the summer of 2036 and then finds himself waking up in the hospital in the winter of 2044. He's missing nine years of memories.
Memories of his career, of social norms being shaken, and of his apparent marriage are all gone. Now he has to relearn the life he's led the last decade.
Connor remembers the day of Gavin's car accident with too much clarity. Weeks afterwards, when the love of his life wakes up from his coma, he looks at Connor like a stranger.
Gavin can't remember the life they've had together, shared together. He can't remember that Connor is an android.
And old prejudices are hard to forget.
