The Master returned after the last bell, humming an old song under his breath, still dressed in his sharp suit and sharper heels. He never offered any information about his day, just picked over the Doctor's body with interest, cooing over a fresh bruise, a healing scratch.
And the Doctor laid there, relieved to be something that the Master came back for.
