Katsuki blinked dumbly for a few seconds, before forcing his jaw to snap closed. “I’ve been assigned to what?”
“Kill Midoriya Izuku.” Nezu wore a painted mask of relaxation. His words carried a hint of cheerfulness, as he reached out, adding a sprinkle of herbs to the steaming mug before him. Beside his tea, a crust of bread was coated with a layer of spiced goat’s butter.

The Council of Musutafu has determined that people who are unable to wield magic will be executed. Bakugou Katsuki, a student at the prestigious Academy, has been assigned to kill his childhood friend, Midoriya Izuku. To cover the execution, the Council sends Katsuki and Izuku to the neighboring country of Tatsu to steal a dragon egg. Forced to work with Izuku, Katsuki must decide between obeying the Council and killing Izuku, or confronting his true feelings.
