Summary

Summary

What Albus Dumbledore asks him to do requires tremendous courage and sacrifice - but he carries out his penance willingly because he knows he is the only one who can do what he can do. Sirius Black has escaped from Azkaban, but the horror of his wrongful imprisonment cannot be forgotten. Every day he faces a battle that no one else can ever truly understand, but love for Harry and hope for a better world and the family they'll someday be gives him the strength to keep fighting with an open heart. Harry Potter has always had too much asked of him but he's never had to fight alone. While being forced by Dumbledore to learn Occlumency from Snape over the summer, he realizes that he's had a protector in the professor all along.
