Summary
Dean tried to sit up, but only succeeded in straining his muscles against something that was holding him securely in place. He couldn’t even move enough to get any leverage to fight back, or try to squirm free of the grip.
It took his still-sluggish mind another few moments to process that he wasn’t bound by ropes or chains or anything else, but by the same appendages that had grabbed onto him earlier.
He hadn’t panicked when he first woke up, but he was freaking out now, trying in vain to pull free but not even managing to move an inch. He could feel the little bumps- suckers, his brain unwittingly supplied- pressed tight against his skin.

Summary
“Geez, Sammy, don’t you know you’re supposed to be the one giving the girl the hickeys?” Dean asked, eyeing the clear, fresh bruises on Sam’s neck that were barely hidden under the collar of a button-up, conspicuously buttoned all the way up.

Summary
For what's probably not the first and definitely not the last time in his life, Sam is stuck between wakefulness and nightmare, reality and an unreality far worse.

Summary
Senior quotes shouldn't really be important- not to Sam, not when he'll be lucky to be at the same school in a week let alone a few months. But, the idea of finding words to represent who and what he is is more than a little intriguing.
Or, Dean helping Sam figure out his senior quote.

Summary
“Sam, this is a problem. You can see that, right? You can tell there’s… tension, a rift, something wrong?” Cas didn’t continue until Sam gave a slow nod. “He’s your brother, despite what else he is as well, and- the Sam I know would absolutely not tolerate his brother treating him this way. You’re an amazing person, so why are you letting him tell you that you’re not?”

Summary
"It wasn’t a food thing, exactly. Not in the beginning. It was a control thing.
Sam had never had control over his life- he was expected to comply to everything John expected of him, and even after his father was gone, he was expected to continue following in his footsteps.
It was his job, his duty, his life.
And he had never had any choice in it. He had a choice in what he ate, though. Out of every controlled and limited part of his life, eating was really and completely his."

Summary
Sam was getting bad again. The past few weeks had been alright- good, actually, better than he’d felt in a long time. But they’d gotten back from a rough hunt, he’d made a few stupid mistakes he should have avoided, and the downward spiral started yet again.
(Sam has been struggling with self-harm and self-hatred. Dean and Cas reassure him that they'll be there for him, no matter what.)

Summary
“See, it’s gone because it’s not real. Me? I’m real. You’re stuck with me. Because I’m real, Sammy.” And it was true- with Dean in such close proximity, the idea of thinking any of his hallucinations were true seemed completely ridiculous. “

Summary
"It felt a bit odd, standing in the shadows like a stalker, spying on his younger, innocent, unsuspecting self, but it was decidedly not the oddest situation Sam Winchester had ever found himself in. "

Summary
There were bandages criss-crossing Marco's body, covering so many damned injuries that it hurt Jean just to look at the innocent, sterile white gauze. Jean could do nothing but stare for a moment, until the reality of it all came crashing down on him, harsh waves that made him want to break down and sob, to throw things and scream.
