She started to tremble. Adam’s cheek was flush with her own as he continued to hold her steady even despite her ongoing tremors.
“I want to forget,” she heard herself say, like a voice outside of her body.
Finally, Adam released her. When she peeked through her lashes, Olive saw his own eyes were full, dark, mysterious. She licked her lips and took a deep breath.
“Make me forget.”

It’s Anh’s fault Olive is running through SFO like her life she’s being chased by a grizzly straight out of hibernation, ready to feast on its first meal. Everything is Anh’s fault, if she were to get technical about it. Not that it matters; Olive would do anything for her. Still. In a different world, a just world, Anh would’ve believed Olive didn’t have a thing for Jeremy and gone out with him with no questions asked. Which means Olive would never have kissed Adam Carlsen in the hallway. If she hadn’t done that, she wouldn’t have fallen in love with the man, and her heart wouldn’t be in tatters.
