Summary
"First of all, is this marriage serious? Do you and Max really want to spend your lives together this way?"
"Nope."
"Then why did you get married in the first place?"
George rolls his gray-blue eyes: "It was one of those Vegas things, I guess. We were drunk. Wasted."
"If that's the case, you could have get it annulled afterwards."
"Well... I guess that's because we haven't been in Vegas at the same time since then. At least I haven't."
"Okay, fair enough. Last question: have you guys fucked?"Bookmarked by RobinII

Summary
If he focuses hard enough, Max can even tell the shape of the buttons that press down on George’s chest, because they match the ones on his own skin.
He lets go of the car to bend down and reach into George’s seat, pulling the wheel free and feeling as his own chest makes room for more air. The entire world fades around him as he sees Russell- no, not Russell, his soulmate lies unmoving between the little that’s left of his cockpit.
or the one where it takes George getting into an accident for Max to realize that he is his soulmate.

there are my beloved toxic yaoi rivals, very much into mean George & a pathetic obsessive sub M, that’s secretly FOLDED. Just the right flavour for me.

Summary
It’s funny, really, how little they talk. What is there to talk about? They were completely different people back when all George’s face inspired in Max was annoyance, that hasn’t suddenly changed just because he’s a little fonder of him now.
When Max brings up video games or his plans to go play darts with friends, George hums along and pretends to care. Max can’t muster up the same pretense when George talks about padel or whatever gossip his girlfriends have fed him at brunch so instead he busies himself with tracing the shape of his lips with his eyes, imagining them swollen and wrapped around him.
More relationships would last longer if people just ignored each other’s personalities and focused on sex, Max thinks.

Summary
Max goes to the nest and stands at the edge. George feels small and stupid, one of Max’s cloaks working in his hands as he kneads the fabric. Max leans over and picks up a scrab from the nest, a small blanket, and presses it to his face briefly.
Then— pulls away. Grimaces at the smell. He drops the blanket, disgusted at George’s scent.
"God, George," Max mutters, his voice muffled behind his hand, gravelly and choked. He won't look directly at him. "What is that?"
