Summary
The apartment smelled faintly of cigarette smoke and rainwater. Beneath it lingered something else; antiseptic, blood, damp cotton. Dazai smelled like rainwater, antiseptic, and the copper-rich sting of opened veins. Chuuya hated that he could identify him by scent alone. Hated it even more that some traitorous, starving part of him found the familiarity comforting.

Hospital bed. Heart monitor. Pulse oximeter. That was all familiar enough.
Oh, he realized, dully. It didn't work. Unfortunately, that was familiar enough too.
What wasn't was the slight figure he spotted, when his eyes focused enough to see.
A Port Mafia executive was leaning up against the wall by the door. The man was dressed in sleek work clothes and a distinctive hat, typing rapid-pace on a cell phone and scowling down at the screen. His face was lit up from below. The blue-white light brushed the soft slopes of his cheeks and edged the lashes of his sharp eyes.
Chuuya. Chuuya was here.
Dazai blinked slowly. If this was a hallucination, it was an awfully cruel one.
Dazai attempts in the wake of the ADA's disbandment, and Chuuya takes him home.
