I scream. I thrash. I can’t breathe. Todoroki freezes, silent, sharp, his own exhaustion barely contained. The city is burning. Heroes are falling. Friends are gone, or worse, barely holding on.
We shouldn’t be here. We shouldn’t be fighting anymore. But we can’t stop. Not while there’s still a chance, not while the people we care about might still be alive.
Grief hits harder than anything else, and exhaustion claws at every step, but we keep moving, because giving up isn’t an option.

What happens after Kirishima finds out about Bakugou’s death? Two unlikely friends share this grief together. And now they must push aside their grief to continue fighting in a war they shouldn’t be in.

Kirishima tries. He laughs, he works, he goes on dates he doesn’t care about. He pretends he’s moving on. But love doesn’t leave just because someone does.

“Dude,” he says. “Is everything okay?” Annoyance flickers briefly across Bakugo’s face. Okay—wrong question? Wrong place to ask the question? He can feel Uraraka pretending not to pay attention, standing up and moving to the counter to clean out the residue from her horrendous smoothie.
Kirishima reaches his hand out across the table, and Bakugo moves out of the way. Oh.
“It’s fine,” Bakugo says, which means it’s totally not fine. “I should go.”
(Or: Bakugo realizes he’s in love and starts to pull away from Kirishima. Slowly and surely, they find their way back together.)

So stupidly cute, depicted bakugou’s internal turmoil really well in kiri’s POV, smoothie angst was hella funny
