After the Battle of Draithus everyone returns to Basgiath to continue training in preparation for their continuing war against the venin. Sloane Mairi is struggling emotionally, physically, and especially with wielding. When desperate times call for desperate measures, she turns to Dain Aetos, the only person who has successfully helped her siphon, to teach her how to wield properly. As the two work together, Sloane begins to appreciate Dain for more than just his looks. *Struggling to decide what Taylor Swift song to use as the title. :)
