Summary
John Laurens is a poor college drop out who works too many jobs and tried his hardest to keep him and his son, Phillip Laurens, off the streets. Phillip's mother had wanted nothing to do with Phillip, so John was the one who took the small kid in at just the age of twenty. Five years later, they were still living in New York, though money was getting tight.
Then John met a very interesting man by the name of Alexander Hamilton.
