For supposedly being one of the finest Knowers in decades, Tally often felt like she knew very little.
She didn't know how to process the dreams that kept her up at night since becoming un-biddied. Mothertongue, that was tough. Handling Raelle and Abigail's teasing about her life choices, that could be a lot.
And mostly, she definitely didn't have a clue how to handle having a debilitating attraction and world-class crush on the most powerful woman on the literal planet, who definitely would never feel the same way.
Anyway. It was fine. It was all just fine.
Or,
Tally's nightmares never stop; in fact, they become a form of emotional torture that keeps her up at night. Alder, in a twist, agrees to help Tally through late-night meetings, and Tally is faced with an entirely different kind of emotional torture.

Tally's excited for Conscription day, how can she not be? She's finally going to be the soldier she's always wanted to be, and her mother won't get a chance to stop her. But as boots are stomping and General Alder finishes her speech, something in her cracks open, letting memories she shouldn't have rush through her veins.
Oh, she thinks, I remember.
(These seven, these souls who live and die and live again, the only things that stay constant in their years of life are each other and the Goddess. They live together, laugh together, love together, cry together, die together.)

Post-Sodden. Fringilla knew exactly what she was doing when she poisoned Tissaia: that woman was the heart of the Brotherhood and if she died, the organisation would crumble without her guidance. It was a clever plan and it looked like Fringilla would get what she wanted.
With lungs filled with dimeritium, Tissaia feels herself slowly withering away. Not even her best efforts can save herself from the inevitable.
If only Yennefer would just let her go gracefully into the night.
