Summary
Ten years….
For ten despicably long years, Hawk Moth has rained terror on Paris. And for ten despicably long years, Marinette has been desperately concealing her secret identity as the city’s heroine, Ladybug. From her parents, her best friends, and the public. Not even her partner-in-crimefighting, Chat Noir, knows who’s behind the mask, despite their decade-long romance.
But Marinette’s okay with that. She’s okay with living two separate lives: one in which she works towards an investment in her fashion brand, and one in which she swings across the rooftops with the love of her life, searching out the elusive supervillain.
If only Chat Noir would stop proposing….
And does she really have to work with that damn Ken doll, Adrien Agreste, in order to advance her career?
One thing is for sure, though: The City of Lights is an absolute jungle.

Summary
After the defeat of Gabriel Agreste and the disappearance of the mysterious peacock miraculous user, Marinette is left to try her best as Guardian and pick up the pieces. With the kwamis left in hibernation, no leads on the missing peacock miraculous, and no way to contact her beloved partner, she's left to her wit's end on where to proceed.
That is, until the prime suspect of the peacock wielder coincidentally takes up an apprenticeship at her parents' bakery. Adrien Agreste, son of Hawkmoth, has seemingly planted his roots in her home while Marinette was away for an apprenticeship. This could either be a disaster in the making, or the perfect opportunity to retrieve the missing miraculous... either way, it's war.
At least, it would be, if the gosh darn villain weren't so sweet!

Adrien smiles as he eats breakfast with Nathalie, smiles as he walks through the halls of his new lycée, smiles as people stop him on the street and tell him time and time again what a "hero" his father was.
(Adrien wishes he could've been a hero, too. He should've been. Maybe then his father would still be alive.)
(But he's surviving. Everyone may be treating him as though he were made of glass, but he can still go through the motions, he can prove them wrong, he can still smile.)
“And you’re… happy,” Marinette spoke carefully, a nervous tilt to her voice, “... right?”

Marinette had always been so patient with Adrien when it came to matters of his father. She understood that he struggled to say 'no', that he was trying his best. She always made it clear that she loved him anyway.
But even she had her limits. Her trust in him was wearing thin.
Good, he couldn't help but think, standing at her front door with his father whispering into his earpiece. She shouldn't trust me.

Summary

But when the masks fell and all that was left was Marinette, she hated her boyfriend. She hated the lonesome afternoons, the third wheeling, the way his name wasn't in her contacts...
She knows their identities are secret for a reason, and she tells herself she'd do anything to protect that— but when Marinette hears Chat Noir's voice coming from the boy sitting behind her in a coffee shop, she can't help but wonder if it's really worth not having him in her life.
