Wei Wuxian, undeniably both of those things, was astonished by the turn in personality in those early days, but he has long grown accustomed to calling Lan Wangji one of his best friends.
Which is precisely why he’s struck dumb when Lan Zhan walks into the restaurant—and meets Wei Wuxian’s eyes with surprise of his own.

"No, you listen to me, Hanguang-jun." Wei Wuxian cut him off with a sneer. "You're out of line! Do you think you can just kidnap people as you see fit? Lock me up for crimes I didn't even commit? You think I'm just gonna sit there and let you do whatever you want to me?"

The warmth of his skin when his hand brushed against Seoho's.
"And what about us?" he asked, wishing he could swallow the words the moment they left his mouth.
Or, Seoho can’t stop thinking about change.

“I can’t explain it, but I’m from a different world, and somehow, I came here.”
(Seoho is haunted by dreams of the day Geonhak left him. It's easier to pretend he's fine, he's moved on, he's sleeping well, than try to heal old wounds. But falling into another world, another life, another Geonhak threatens to tear down every wall he tried to build up and teach him that things can be different.)
