    A rewrite that's way more focused on Daniel and Armand, stitching together scenes from the show, the Devil's Minion chapter, and a bunch of my own ideas to fill in the blanks and lean into their relationship a little harder.

Daniel didn’t expect to feel a strange rush when he did, but his unnaturally amber eyes stared into him in a way Daniel hadn’t expected. He had never seen eyes like his before, so captivating and piercing. After a few seconds of silence, Daniel realised the Frenchman was waiting for him to speak.

    “Yeah, I recognise my own writing. Now, how did you-”

    “Why did you write this?”

    “Look, man, I-”

    “What didn’t you get?”

     

    Paris. 1945. The young journalist Daniel Molloy gets more than he bargained for after leaving a bad review for a particular theatre.

    Set after season 2, ignores season 3, though a fair amount of canon is pulled from the books or is either a weird mix of book and show canon or just me deciding I'm just gonna make the canon whatever I want it to be.

    Rating is cautiously set at Mature for now, could be bumped to Explicit depending on future chapters.
